Meet Patrick Palmer, our first (and current!) artist in residence!
Patrick M. Palmer is the Dean at The Glassell School of Art of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, as well as Faculty Chair of its Studio School. Patrick earned a BA (specializing in both intaglio and drawing) from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1977 and an MFA (specializing in lithography (stone) from Arizona State University in 1979. Palmer has been teaching at The Glassell School of Art, MFAH for 30 years and has been Dean for 10 years.
Throughout his 45+ years of painting, Palmer placed works in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and many other prestigious museum and university collections. Palmer’s current
paintings revisit an often examined theme abstracted figures/heads edged with some psychological intrigue.
We’re delighted to showcase Patrick’s artwork at the Bodega through the holiday season You can find out more about his work on his website at http://www.patrickpalmerart.com
